Position Description/Responsibilities:
Web Developer II
Salary: $35K

Our client, in State College Pennsylvania, is looking for a Web Developer I to join their team. The Web Developer must be proficient with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Mobile-compliant websites and social applications that meet the needs of the client.

Slicing Adobe Photoshop .PSD’s and/or Fireworks Layered .png’s into various graphical image files for use on a Website and/or translate imagery into appropriate coding.
Develop and existing reusable performance optimized front-end (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) for websites using a CMS and is a resource for improvements.
Carry out QA process, performance optimization, and support on front end coding with the objective of decreasing support requests and improving processes.
Communicate effectively with team and clients on stages and project completion goals or dates, and can accurately forecast delays that threaten success.
Develops/uses internal resources or identifies external resources to create quality solutions that result in positive outcomes.
Promotes or deploys solutions to a large group or several small to mid-sized groups of stakeholders.
Demonstrates a track record for developing and sustaining solid relationships with clients and other functions within client services.
Works with delivery and sales teams to ensure overall performance and client satisfaction and is a knowledge resource for project planning.
Assume significant responsibility for large-scale projects.
Responsible for the quality of the front-end code for each Website you develop and improving the overall quality of work of team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Responsible for updating 3rd party project management programs as well as using sound communication skills to keep clients and coworkers up to date on project/projects.
Responsible for troubleshooting to help identify support issues and bring issues to resolution as well as proposing ideas and suggestions for reducing client issues.
Responsible for implementing the standards, processes or procedures currently maintained for the Creative Development Team and can communicate with others to improve those processes.
Is a knowledge resource and can actively participate in meetings with other departments that require front-end development.
Must Have Experience:
2 years of work and/or an outstanding portfolio and educational background.
HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Demonstrated ability to hand-code unobtrusive, optimized DOM scripting
Possess a keen eye regarding a high level of detail and demonstrates pixel-perfect design across different Web browsers.
Possess a solid foundation in the use of Adobe Photoshop CS as well as Adobe Fireworks
Knowledge resource for Web design usability, standards compliance, and information architecture
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate via 3rd party project management programs
Accustomed to working on multiple projects simultaneously to a high standard.
Absolute passion for the Internet, World Wide Web and Web Development, Must be passionate about the technology industry.
Self-taught developers have as much chance as someone with a degree – must have an outstanding portfolio.
Additional skills that are considered a strong plus:
Adobe Flash Development

Experience in iOS app development or Android development
Interest in Web Trends

Time, Attendance and Physical Requirements:
Travel may be required along with extensive telephone and computer work requiring prolonged periods of sitting, hearing, seeing, and writing.
This position requires a self-motivated individual to ensure that deadlines and objectives are achieved in a timely fashion.
