Computer Aid, Inc. is looking for an Expert Level Technical Architect/PeopleSoft with 7+ years of experience!   Duration 24 months.
This position comes to us from our NY State contract for Hourly Based Information Technology Services and is located in the Menands – Albany, NY area.  Menands is in the beautiful upstate region of NY, which is only a few hours from Boston, New York City, Montreal, and the spectacular mountains of the Adirondacks.

CARS Legislation Project and UEF Claims Transition

 

CARS Legislation Project:

an Article VII bill proposed as part of the SFY 13-14 budget cycle includes a complete redesign of the assessment process to one that will “float” with employers when there are shifts in types of coverage.

 

Under the new assessment system, the agency must, by November 1 of each year, develop a “rate” to be applied for the following calendar year. Based upon that rate, carriers and the SIF would collect directly from their policy holders a prescribed amount and then submit that exact amount to the agency. The self-insurers (both public and private) would pay the amounts directly to the agency. The agency would no longer issue bills (quarterly or annually, depending upon type of assessment).

 

UEF Claims Transition:

The agency has lost the majority of the employees in one of their units and the agency has decided to transition the claims and payments related to the Uninsured Employers Fund (UEF) to a Third Party Administrator (TPA). This will require business process reengineering to the agency’s Financial System’s claims and Accounts Payables modules.

 

Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Brings deep expertise in designing, tuning and monitoring infrastructure to support PeopleSoft FSCM applications under the supervision of agency supervisors.
  • Prioritizes, assigns and monitors individual team member tasks.
  • Coordinates team meetings (organize, communicate and provide meeting minutes/summaries).
  • Provides guidance and strategy to problem/issue resolution – Oversees team related documentation.
  • Designs the overall architecture, infrastructure and database structure.
  • Code PeopleSoft financials modifications using the PeopleSoft development tools.
  • Provide production support including issue resolution in a timely manner.
  • Manages the development of infrastructure for the PeopleSoft ERP Program.
  • Communicate with users to gather requirements for projects and enhancements to the production system.
  • Perform technical analysis and estimates for enhancement requests.
  • Perform complete lifecycle testing and document the code changes.
  • Perform tuning for slow running processes.
  • Monitor batch processes and resolve the issues.
  • Provide Technical leadership for system upgrade activities.
  • Provide weekly Status reports.
  •  Documentation of software changes.
  • Perform the PeopleSoft code reviews as per the agency coding standards.
  •  Modifications to PeopleSoft interfaces with the existing agency systems

PART A:  The ONE MANDATORY REQUIREMENT:

 

Expert Level 

You must be an Expert Technical Architect/PeopleSoft with documented employment experience of 7+ years (84+ months).

  

–  You must have technical experience around a technology, technologies or a portfolio of applications- Designing and implementing Information Technology solutions.

 

 

 

PART B:   Requested Desirable  Qualifications:  The numbered qualifications below are not mandatory, but candidates should meet or exceed in duration and skill set target asked for, at least 3 of numbers 1 through 6.

  1. At least 84 months of experience as a PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) Application DBA.
  2. At least 72 months of working experience with Oracle Database tablespaces, table design, and performance tuning for Peoplesoft FSCM.
  3. At least 72 months of experience with ETL and SQL coding for Peoplesoft FSCM.
  4. At least 60 months experience with UNIX scripting and Oracle in a UNIX environment.
  5. At least 60 months of experience in conducting design sessions with users, writing design documents and writing technical specifications using PeopleSoft FSCM.
  6. At least 48 months experience with migration and data conversion from legacy systems to PeopleSoft FSCM databases.
