Security Infrastructure Specialist (14-30)

Our client, in Mechanicsburg Pa, is looking for a Security Infrastructure Specialist for a 6 month contract to hire opportunity. This is advanced technical work involving the design, programming, planning, analysis and maintenance of the network and security infrastructure that supports the and Unified Judicial System Network (UJSNet). The individual in the position serves as part of a team responsible for providing 24/7 support for all network and security issues affecting the data centers, appellate courts, magisterial district courts and the UJSNet connections to the county criminal courts. Responsibilities also include interfacing with network and security service providers.

Primary Duties
Programs and analyzes network security solutions, including routers, switches, DMZ, firewalls, web filters, proxy servers, perimeter anti-virus, packet analyzers, and packet shaping devices.Proactively identifies weaknesses and vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure using security logs, network analysis, and observations.
Plans and implements solutions to mitigate or eliminate risks.
Analyzes network security forensic data in performance of investigations and identification of anomalies and makes recommendations to management.
Performs business continuity and disaster preparedness planning for the network security infrastructure.
Designs, creates, tests and deploys network firewall rules on core and remote firewalls.
Coordinates with stakeholders and vendors to isolate/resolve problems affecting the network security posture.
Performs technical reviews and investigations of all network and security environments.
Maintains and programs intrusion detection and prevention appliances at the data centers.
Receives and responds to trouble tickets from vendors and internal staff to resolve network and security issues.
Develops and recommends network and security policies/procedures and security design concepts for management review.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in any information technology (IT) field
2-5 years of professional experience (Preferred expertise, but flexible)
