Senior Project Manager
· Assists in the development, maintenance, and improvement of a standard project management process utilizing best practices and supported by Portfolio Project Management (PPM) tools and measures
· Develops detailed project plans and schedules.
· Provides work direction and leadership to assigned projects, including scheduling, assignment of work and review of project efforts
· Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule. Identifies ways to resolve schedule issues. Keeps management aware of the situation
· Assesses variances from the project plan, gathers metrics and develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope and is within time, cost and quality objectives
· Gathers and further defines project requirements
· Determines staffing requirements and forms project teams
· Develops estimates for other resource (i.e., business, technical, and financial) and schedule requirements
· Conducts project kickoff phase meetings, communicating individual roles and project expectations. Ensures that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively
· Provides the team with constructive feedback as it pertains to project performance. Uses past experiences to identify potential areas of improvement
· Coaches or mentors-less experienced personnel
· Utilizes established project standards, procedures and quality objectives
· Develops best practices, project standards, procedures and quality objectives including metrics for assessing progress. Utilizes established project standards, procedures and quality objectives
· Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors and key clients
· Acts as primary point of contact for one or more vendor staff and teams on one or more large-sized, moderate to highly complex projects. Provides direction, prioritization, and guidance on project activities to meet project targets. Ensures vendor staff responsibilities are clear.
· Monitors and reports on one or more vendor’s progress against budget and other targets for one or more large-sized, moderate to highly complex projects
· Identifies risks and issues; establishes mitigation plan to facilitate issue resolution
· Demonstrates flexibility within a variety of changing situations while working with various individuals and groups. Changes own ideas or perceptions in response to changing circumstances. Alters standard procedures when necessary and multi-tasks as required
· Builds both formal and informal professional networks. Maintains and extends networks within, across and external to organizational boundaries. Obtains and shares information, ideas and problems. Specific Requirements:
· 10+ years of IT project management experience.
· 10+ years experience managing complex projects requiring coordination across multiple business lines/organizations.
· Masters’ degree in related field or equivalent work experience
· Experience with IT projects in the Financial Industry
· Experience with IT projects utilizing multiple technologies and frameworks

Required Skills:
The candidate should posses
10+ years’ experience as a Project Lead in the Financial Services domain
Experienced in collecting user requirements from different stakeholders
Experienced in analyzing and documenting Business Process Model
Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to lead and facilitate discussions in large groups
Experienced in recording, tracking and reporting resolving issues
Ability to guide and work with multiple functional and technical teams
Experience with COTS product implementation
Experience with Investran Product
