Position Description/Responsibilities:

Primary Objectives:

  • Manage a portfolio of concurrently run small to medium sized projects across all project phases.  Deliver projects successfully, on time and on budget.
  • Lead a team of 5 to 10 dedicated project professionals including business analysts and developers.  The team size will fluctuate, as needed, to meet client demand.
  • Integrated CAI support team members a key project phases to elevate quality assurance and knowledge exchange.
  • Working alongside CAI’s Enterprise Architect, conduct high level requirements gathering meetings and solution design discussions to provide planning estimates.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope for projects that are loosely defined (from an      idea or charter, to foundational requirements, to epics, and finally to actionable user stories that can be handed to the project team)
  • Draft SOWs for projects.
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring the best and the brightest talented professionals for the team.
  • Develop and execute a communication plan ensuring the effective involvement of key parties and promoting high customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all issues and risks are effectively captured, classified, tracked, communicated, and acted upon.  Escalate as appropriate.
  • Identify and elevate leaders among the team.
  • Foster strong relationships with client teams and client vendor partners.
  • Exhibit unwavering honesty and integrity.


Secondary Objectives:

  • Act as a backup to the engagement’s Program Manager.
  • Assist in the management of the application support teams which includes sixteen analysts (including DBA, developers, functional/business analysts)
  • Resolve support events within Service Level Agreement time frames.
  • Assess and triage production issues.
  • Escalate issues to management as appropriate.
  • Deliver defect-free enhancements and projects that are compliant with industry and application best practices.
  • Using Computer Aid’s metric based support methodology and tools, perform analysis to identify and resolve recurring issues.

Project team is composed of 5 – 10 dedicated   analysts and developers who work in conjunction with the CAI support team   (roles such as Architect, Management, DBAs, Analysts)
Support team is composed of seventeen   dedicated management, analysts, and technical experts.


Application Profile
Custom Debt Referral system built on Oracle   database and Oracle Forms technologies.
Custom Receivables/Billing system built on   Oracle database, Oracle Forms, and Java Web technologies.
Cashiering system on Oracle database and Java   Web technologies.  System includes a COTS product called Payment   Manager.


Position Requirements/Technical Skills:

  • Consulting experience strongly preferred
  • 3+ years experience leading multiple projects concurrently and handling complex competing client priorities
  • 3+ years experience leading project teams using Agile/Scrum across all project phases
  • 3+ years experience leading project teams using Waterfall across all project phases
  • Strong experience constructing and escalating test phases
  • Expert written and oral communicator
  • Experience thriving in high pressure situations.
  • Must have temperament and patience with all roles in a complex organization.
  • Public sector expire is desirable
  • Revenue business experience is desirable
  • PCI compliancy experience is highly desirable
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites, 2007 or 2010
  • MS Project experience is required
  • Must have a strong customer service orientation
  • Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Must have excellent documentation skills and experience
