Computer Aid, Inc. is looking for a Senior Level Business Analyst with 5-7 years of experience!   Duration 7.5 months.
This position comes to us from our NY State contract for Hourly Based Information Technology Services and is located in the Rensselaer – Albany, NY area.  Rensselaer is in the beautiful upstate region of NY, which is only a few hours from Boston, New York City, Montreal, and the spectacular mountains of the Adirondacks.

Casework Contacts

 

The project requires a Business Analyst to continue improvements in the accuracy and functionality of the Casework Contact data in the Data Warehouse. The staff person will be responsible for requirements definitions, data design and modeling, creation of custom data extracts and development of Cognos reports for end-users.

 

This resource is critical for improved reporting, analysis and measurement of Child Welfare in New York State. If this resource is not procured, New York is at increased risk of financial penalties for not reaching the Federal Standard of 95% of foster children having a recorded casework contact each and every month the child is in foster care. This position is for a 7 month timeframe.

 

Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain the casework contacts database, reporting and other related data extraction tasks.
  • Maintain development of extensive modifications to the casework contact database.
  • Modify and maintain COGNOS models.
  • Write and maintain COGNOS reports.
  • Create custom data extracts.
  • Utilize Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Data Integrator and SPSS or related software for data extraction and analysis.

PART A:  The ONE MANDATORY REQUIREMENT:

 

Senior Level 

You must be a Senior Business Analyst with documented employment experience of 5-7 years (60-84 months).

  

–  You must be able to manage small to medium-scale business analysis work or projects with distinct deliverables to a solution.

 

–  You must be able to work without assistance and can provide leadership for others; may have advanced education.

 

 

PART B:   Requested Desirable  Qualifications:  The numbered qualifications below are not mandatory, but candidates should meet or exceed in duration and skill set target asked for, at least 4 of numbers 1 through 8.

  1. 48 Months of Experience in analysis related to doing Federal data reporting.
  2. 36 Months of Experience in SPSS doing analysis/reporting.
  3. 60 Months of Experience in analysis doing current business processes and data flow.
  4. 60 Months of Experience in doing data warehouse data mapping and data migration.
  5. 36 Months of Experience in performing Cognos administrative tasks, including creating and modifying Framework Manager models.
  6. 60 Months of Experience in ORACLE Data Warehouse Builder or related tools doing business analysis.
  7. 60 Months of Experience in Social Services doing database related work/analysis.
  8. Bachelor’s Degree.
